He started at Fluid Recruitment in 2009 at its inception and is now the Director of the business. James is an Associate Director for Fluid Recruitment. He recruits purely within Accountancy and Finance with a particular focus on the North Island of New Zealand and the NSW Market Place in Australia. James is from a business and marketing academic background with a wealth of travel experiences and a love for sports. James has over 10 years of recruitment experience specifically within accountancy and finance, having first worked in a start-up team gaining promotion through the ranks to Senior Manager. James later transferred to Australia as a Managing Consultant and has a proven track record of establishing highly successful specialist recruitment teams in the UK, Australia and NZ. He prides himself on his honesty and professionalism to colleagues, candidates and clients alike utilising his experience to add real value to all parties.
Sophie is an industry specialist focussed on specialist consultancy within the manufacturing, production, engineering and trades sectors. With 5 years’ commercial recruitment and over 3 years’ internal recruitment experience, Sophie offers a consultative and targeted approach that ensures greater talent sourcing and recruitment success. Providing results for business regionally throughout New Zealand, she takes pride in enhancing the recruitment experience in traditionally difficult areas.
Ross supports our recruitment specialists, he is an experienced human resources, organisational development professional, with over 25 years’ experience across all sectors. As a consulting leader he has extensive experience of all aspects of people management practice. Ross supports our clients by providing pragmatic and timely risk management, helping manage teams through change. Ross is also experienced in facilitating Psychometric assessments and DISC profiling. He provides detailed assistance on all and any testing that may be required as part of a recruitment process.
Blake Mather joined the Sydney team in February 2016. He recruits all across the South Island of New Zealand, specialising in Accountancy & Finance with the Chartered / Practice market being his key focus. He understands the importance of an effective recruitment process and prides himself on his ability to identify talented candidates and deliver quickly to meet his clients needs.
Mandy is our dedicated accounts officer and has the most important responsibility in the business of ensuring all our contractors get paid. She is also responsible for all accounts payable and receivable for both the New Zealand and Australian offices. Mandy is the person we all rely on to ensure the business always runs smoothly!
Kathryn is a true Dunedinite and Otago graduate. She brings her expert all round administration and office management skills to the wider business. As well as providing dedicated candidate care she is also responsible for process and business improvement thereby enabling our consultants to deliver the best service possible. Outside of work Kathryn is an accomplished drummer performing in New Zealand Pipe Bands on an international basis including performing at the Royal Military International Tattoo in Edinburgh.
Originally from Hamilton, James has made the move to the South Island and established himself as an integral member of the New Zealand team. With a successful career to date in the corporate and Government sectors he has now jumped to the other side of the fence and provides valuable advice and support to those wanting to make their own career change.
Nathan Pattison has close to 20 years of experience recruiting throughout NZ and abroad. He founded Fluid Recruitment in 2009 and now works on an consultative basis for the business, focusing specifically on Senior Management and Executive positions or those requiring a strong search and selection process.
Sarah is a professional with an extensive background in industrial sales and relationship management. She specialises in the recruitment of talented individuals within the Industrial and Mechanical sectors.
Having worked for five years distributing and supporting WEG electric motors and automation throughout the Lower South Island, Sarah has a well-rounded knowledge of what is involved in all areas of industrial maintenance. With her excellent communication skills and passion for industry, Sarah provides a targeted and well-informed recruitment process.
Jason is an experienced business consultant with extensive exposure to executive level search through to generalist HR consulting. With 7 years recruitment experience his focus has been the search and select of top quality candidates, using social and innovative techniques to attract and retain the best people the market has to offer. Jason has been focused on the government, healthcare and community sectors and has highly developed networks across New Zealand, Australia and beyond.
In a previous life, Jason ran his own business which entailed a big whack of human resources, but he also had to juggle sales management, operations management and complex payroll and accounting functions.
