AI-driven methods such as chatbot interviews and automative CV software are quickly becoming a go to tool. Although, these are effective methods they often feel impersonal to an employer.

  1. Prepare Authentically: Before interviews, take time to research the company culture and values, as well as the job responsibilities and requirements. Practice answering common interview questions authentically, focusing on sharing genuine examples and stories that showcase your skills and experiences.
  1. Be Genuine in Your Interactions: During interviews- be yourself! Avoid trying to impress with rehearsed answers or by pretending to be someone you’re not. Instead, focus on building genuine connections by listening actively, asking thoughtful questions, and sharing your experiences authentically.
  1. Follow Up Sincerely: After interviews or meetings follow up with a sincere thank-you email expressing gratitude for the opportunity. Personalise your message based on your conversation and reiterate your interest in the role or company in a genuine manner.
